Emma DePanise Wins 2018 Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry

It is my honor to congratulate Emma DePanise on winning Nimrod International Journal's Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry for 2018 judged by esteemed poet, Patricia Smith. Nimrod's Conference for Readers and Writers will feature Emma in October in Tulsa, Oklahoma. You can pre-register and read about her contributions and win (in her bio at the bottom of the Submittable page) here: https://nimrodjournal.submittable.com/submit/120786/2018-conference-for-readers-and-writers-early-bird-registration  On a personal note, it has been one of the greatest privileges of my career to work with Emma and her stunning poetry. She has published 22 poems so far and still has one semester left before she graduates. I can't wait to see which graduate program is lucky enough to land her. She is, quite simply put, one of the most accomplished, brightest and kindest writers I have ever known. Grats, Emma. You are a rock star waiting to happen and I couldn't be prouder to know you!
